NTT DOCOMO Ventures Invests in Lisse Co., Ltd., a Provider of Legal Tech Services for SMEs

NTT DOCOMO Ventures, Inc. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO & CCO: Yuko Sasahara; hereinafter, “NDV”) is pleased to announce that, through a fund that it manages, it has invested in Lisse Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO and Attorney-at-Law (Japan & New York State, USA): Miki Fujita; hereinafter “Lisse”), a provider of legal tech services for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Lisse primarily provides various legal tech services for SMEs. LeCHECK, Lisse’s flagship product, is an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered contract review service that harnesses cutting-edge technology and the expertise of specialized lawyers across various fields. As of September 2025, it supports the legal operations of over 4,500 companies.

In Japan, there exists a significant disparity in the structure and capacity of legal affairs departments based on company size. For SMEs in particular, hiring specialized legal personnel, engaging lawyers, or establishing legal departments is often difficult, and as a result, many of these companies operate without adequate management of legal risks. The legal tech services provided by Lisse contribute to solving this social issue of unequal access to legal services.
