Invested in Cliqr Technologies, Inc.

NTT DOCOMO Ventures, Inc. (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo, Japan; President & CEO: Minoru Etoh) today announced its investment, through the investment fund it operates, in Cliqr Technologies, Inc. (headquartered in California, U.S.A.; President & CEO: Gaurav Manglik, hereinafter referred to as “Cliqr”), which provides multiple cloud management tools.

1.Overview of the investment

NTT DOCOMO Ventures, Inc., through the investment fund it operates, completed the investment by joining the funding round for Cliqr.

2.Background

Cliqr provides a cloud management platform and related tools. A Cloud-based topology for enterprises to provide a variety of new and existing applications and services has already been prevailing in recent years, while the number of enterprises using one to many private and public cloud environment for a variety of purposes has started to grow.
Use of Cliqr’s cloud management tools enables businesses to gain centralized visibility and control and flexible modeling, migration and management of applications portably across any combination of private or public cloud which, we consider, contributes to further development of the Cloud usage by enterprises in the future.

In addition, such a Cliqr’s initiative like this has a high affinity for those of NTT Group companies in the area of cloud business, which is expected to contribute to this area.
