NTT DOCOMO Ventures Invests in Argu Eye Ltd., a Real-Time AI Video Analytics Platform Enabling Natural-Language Analysis of Camera Footage

NTT DOCOMO Ventures, Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO & CCO: Yuko Sasahara; hereinafter “NDV”) is pleased to announce that, through a fund that it manages, it has invested in Argu Eye Ltd. (Headquarters: Israel; CEO: Ido Deutsch; hereinafter “Argu”), a company that provides an Agnetic AI platform for IP cameras capable of creating multi-purpose Vision Agents for real-time video analysis of camera footage using natural-language instructions with zero training or engineering.

With rapid advances in generative AI, the social implementation of “Physical AI,” systems that can perceive and understand the real world, make decisions, and trigger actions, is accelerating. In this context, even ahead of broad robotics adoption, a new market is emerging that leverages widely deployed video sources such as surveillance cameras and drones to enhance on-site safety and operations through software.

Argu’s agentic video analytics platform combines “Generative Video Intelligence,” which uses generative AI to understand, summarize, and act based on video content in real-time, with “ Vision Agents”. Created in seconds, these AI agents automatically execute video analysis commands based on natural-language instructions. This approach enables users to quickly build and update AI functions for monitoring and managing safety , security, compliance, and complex operations, simply by describing what they want to see or know in plain language , without the extensive annotation and custom model development traditionally required.

Argu’s technology is currently being validated and deployed primarily in sectors where downtime and incidents are unacceptable, including ports and essential social infrastructure such as electricity, gas, and water utilities, as well as other critical infrastructure facilities. Expected applications include early detection of incident precursors, rapid identification of hazardous behaviors, and enhanced visibility into operational status. Looking ahead, the platform is also expected to expand into mobility domains such as transportation and logistics, as well as operationally demanding environments that rely heavily on human monitoring, including stadiums, casinos, and retail stores, supporting improved safety and greater operational efficiency by leveraging existing camera systems.
