NTT DOCOMO Ventures Invests in Anaguma Inc., Operator of the Text-Calling App “Jiffcy”

　NTT DOCOMO Ventures, Inc. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO & CCO: Yuko Sasahara; hereinafter, “NDV”) is pleased to announce that, through a fund that it manages, it has invested in Anaguma Inc. (Head Office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Masaki Nishimura; hereinafter “Anaguma”), operator of the “Jiffcy” text-calling app.

　Jiffcy, operated by Anaguma, is a text-calling app that allows call-like communication via text. The real-time talk function allows users to call the other party just like a telephone call, and when the other party responds, the entered characters are displayed one by one even before they are converted, allowing users to communicate with real friends, family, and lovers as if they were on the phone, but without speaking.
　Since the end of the invitation-only program in July 2024, the number of Jiffcy users has been growing. About half of the users are under the age of 18, indicating strong support from the younger generation.

The NTT DOCOMO Group has been striving to establish more personal communication styles since its establishment in order to “create a new world of communication culture.” Taking advantage of this investment, Anaguma and the NTT DOCOMO Group will deepen their collaboration with the aim of exploring the potential of text calling as a new form of communication and thereby create new value and a new communication culture.
